Terms of Service

1. Agreeing to these terms
- By using HOW MUCH YOU GIVING? (the website or iPhone app) you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Estimates, not advice
- Gift numbers, venue costs and benchmarks are friendly estimates for fun and planning. They are not financial, legal or tax advice. Give what feels right for you — suggestions, never obligations.
- Venue details and prices may be out of date. Always confirm with the venue or vendor.
3. Who can use it
- You must be 13 or older to use the site and 18 or older to take surveys or list a business.
4. Your content
- You own what you submit (reports, survey answers, invites, polls, vendor listings). You give us a free, worldwide license to store, display and use it to run the service and to create aggregated, de-identified research.
- Only submit information you have the right to share. Hosts are responsible for having permission to add guests' names and contact details.
5. Don't be a menace
- No spam, fake reports, harassment, illegal content, scraping, or attempts to break or overload the service. Vendor listings must be truthful — listings are self-submitted and not verified by us.
- We can remove content or block access that breaks these rules.
6. Free service
- The service is currently free. If paid features return, prices and terms will be shown clearly before you pay. Earlier purchases stay governed by the terms at the time of purchase.
7. Third-party links
- Venues, vendors, registries and calendar links are run by others. We're not responsible for their content or services.
8. No warranty & limits
- The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to $100.
9. Apple users
- If you use our iPhone app, Apple's standard end-user license agreement also applies. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its support.
10. Changes & ending
- We may update these terms; we'll change the date below. You can stop using the service any time, and we may suspend access for misuse.
11. Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
